Crop Analysis Report 2023 (FISS - Unjha APMC)

The report has been created by the FISS (Federation of Indian Spice Stakeholders) in association with APMC (Agricultural Market Produce Committee) Unjha.


The report covers the crop area, producing state, yield, and total production.


 

1. Fenugreek Seeds

  1. Overall area covered under Fenugreek in all three states has significantly decreased by 31% over last year.

  2. Overall average yields are marginally reduced from last year.

  3. On account of the lower area, Fenugreek production in MP, Gujarat & Rajasthan state decreased by 32% over last year.

  1. The overall area covered under Coriander has increased by 118.5% over last year.

  2. Overall average yields are marginally the same as last year.

  3. On account of Lower area and marginally lower yields, coriander production increased by 123.5% over last year.

 

3. Cumin Seeds

  1. The overall area covered under cumin seed in Gujarat & Rajasthan state has increased by 12.9% over last year.

  2. Average yields are higher by 13.2% from last year.

  3. On account of the higher area and lower yields, cumin production in Gujarat & Rajasthan state is higher by 28% from last year.

 

4. Fennel Seeds

  1. All India area covered under Fennel seed has increased by 41% over last year.

  2. Overall average yields are showing an increase of 4% from last year.

  3. Production has higher by 47% this year due to lower sowing compared to the previous year.
